An Adventurer Chooses a Quest

Players will be put into small teams. They will choose a quest to go on, which inadvertently leads them to meeting the whole group.
The Fading 13, 8786 AS
Bjørnbjerg is a city very different from the rest of The Summoned Realm. It's citizens are proud of their heritage of independence. From this freedom spawned the acceptance of all religions. A sense of mysticism and wonder is felt when walking down the cobblestone streets. The leaves are just beginning to change color from lively green to dappled yellow and orange. The wind has a slight chill, but the sun keeps the days warm. Bjørnbjerg is being decorated for the Autumn Equinox with garlands of laurel and pine. Fabric was cut into different symbols of the gods and hung from building to building. The inns are full of visitors and various courtyards in the city are filled with bright tents that are being set up. Traveling troupes dance their way down the streets yelling out the names of their companies. The city's denizens proudly display their deity of choice on their person, from tattoos to necklaces. You find yourself walking a familiar way past the busy streets full of people walking to their morning jobs. You open the solid oak door and find yourself inside Tillodum's Expedition's main headquarters.

Plot points/Scenes

Tillodum's Expeditions: where the two groups pick a quest to go on. Players can prepare how they want before they leave and both can reveal what they talked about on the trip over.
Perception rolls to notice Vargus Stonehammer and Fargus Stonehammer traveling down the road toward Bjørnbjerg . Fargus is heading to the city to renew trade agreements between Mumum and Bjørnbjerg.
OR perception rolls to notice the grey bear of the plains.
OR Gwendolyn Bogbristle who's wagon wheel has fallen off.
Encounters: Ogre Chain Brute with two regular Ogres OR 4 Bugbears
Yoblington: two days travel. The town is small and quaint, but it may have some supplies or information for travelers.
The southernmost point of the Avonbourg Tips is another day's travel from Yoblington. Bordarul Bog can be seen from the road. It's an easy enough hike up the mountain.
Search for query. Find it:
1. Cinderpetals are in a cave at the base of the southernmost mountain.
2. The bend at the Iron Pass seems to have indications of a wagon getting stuck. One mold is on the ground by the road with small footprints surrounding it and heading to a nearby cave.
3. The Harpies seem to have a nest halfway up the mountain. The entrance is on an edge that pokes out.
4. The Spider Syndicate seems to have already been attacked in their cave.
Explore the cavern. Natural cave, new railroad tracks, old man-made sections.
Encounter holes that depict constellations on the walls. Blessing given. Fall unconscious. Imprisoned.

Structure

Exposition

Tillodum's Expeditions:
Torches burn in sconces, lighting up the bustling interior of Tillodum's Expeditions. The main room is dominated by a large table with a few detailed maps resting askew on top. Some folks are looking from the map to their journals, apparently taking note of the terrain. The rest of the room is furnished with benches, tables, and cots for members to use at their leisure. You can see a couple people sitting down to a game of chess with the iconic Dragonborn and Elven pieces. A half asleep dwarf sits idly by watching the game. A slow melody from a lute catches your ear. A man in purple overcoat with long flowing hair pulls it back into a half ponytail before resuming his melancholy tune. (OR a tall gold dragonborn wearing a black cloak that is too large for her. She balances a dagger on her claw and stares absentmindedly at the floor.) At the back of the room you see the familiar giant bulletin board that spans most of the back wall. A small gnome woman with thick-rimmed glasses and a large backpack overfilling with rolled up scrolls accepts a dripping bag from a group. She grimaces at the liquid beginning to puddle on the floor, but waves the group to follow her into the office to the right. You know that's where Elli Tillodum, the bespectacled gnome, doles out the coins earned from completing contracts. Looks like you may have gotten here a bit late, but there are still three contracts pinned to the board that haven't been claimed yet.
Traveling to Mountains:
The fog that hasn't been burned away by the morning sun clings to the plains. In the far off distance you spy the snow capped mountains that mark your destination.
Constellations:
As you walk through the tunnel, the stone gives way to polished floor. Albeit very old stone, but it is clear this part of the cave has been changed by people. Small holes catch your eye. They seem to glimmer at certain angles. The light brightens and spills out to fill the interior. The light forms strands that connect together to form [insert constellation]. The light is hot like you're too close to the sun, but it doesn't hurt. [vision of animal finding aspect]. Everything goes dark.

Goals

1. Ingredient Needed!
I'm running low on Cinderpetals. They're red, or sometimes orange, with petals that look like fire. Hence the name. They're tricky little flowers to find. When they do grow, it's in the dark corners of caves. Maybe they don't like people. Either way I'll be needing that flower soon. I'm almost out of fire potions! Last time I found some Cinderpetals was in a cave at the base of the mountains beyond Bordarul Bog. I'll pay you in a bottle of alchemists fire and 150 gp. -Davka
2. Shipment hasn't arrived.
Blasted, lazy arseholes didn't deliver all the molds I need to forge. Said some must've fallen off on the way out of the Iron Pass. I'll be damned if those twits lost what I need to make the Ruler's commissioned pieces! They claimed they must've lost it when they were riding past the last of the Avonbourg Tips. Bring my molds back and I'll owe you a discount at my forge and 150 gp.- Ebmond
3. Monsters Spotted
Recently travelers from the North have claimed to see flying monsters in the mountains beyond Yoblington. If this threat isn't eliminated I'm worried the creatures could swoop down and harm passersby. At the completion of this contract you will receive 200 gp. -Concerned Citizen
4. Bounty: Spider Syndicate
Too many travelers have been mugged by these petty criminals. The Vaata have chased them out of the city's reach, but Yoblington may be their next target. Sources say the Syndicate have holed up in a cave at the top of the Southern Avonbourg Tips. When the Syndicate has been eradicated and proof brought back you will receive 200gp.
