Conclave of Shrines
This group was created in Ceshules, after the mishap with Baphomet cults in 6,000 AS, to allow freedom of practicing any religion with the rules being: no harming people in the name of a religion or deity and no summoning deities, devils, or demons to the material plane. So far, it’s worked well, and those passing through are surprised to find, not temples, but shrines to every known deity, including demons and devils.
Structure
Three Cardinal's are in charge of the Conclave, one overseeing shrines devoted to good deities, another for neutral, and the last for evil. They work together a lot since most gods are a mix of two. The Cardinals all wear hats like a white fez that has a long white veil in the back during important events. Underneath the Cardinals are Deacons, who are in charge of festivities and managing the novices who mainly take care of the shrines (e.g., cleaning, replacing rotted food). Every member gives up their given names, but are allowed to keep their family names.
Public Agenda
The Conclave's job is to oversee religious matters in Ceshules. They maintain the religious freedom that the country is known for, while also keeping everyone safe from extremists.
History
After the almost successful summoning of Baphomet in 6,000 AS, The Conclave of Shrines was created to make sure that never happened again.
