Red Soil Family

Nobles who control the eponymous Red Soil District near to the city of Dragon's Jaws. Richest of the Shore Lands families who are based in Dragon's Jaws they also have holdings in and near the City of the Steel Lotus and Salt Founded Glory. Political allies of the Shore Prince who usually stays in their Palazzo on those occassions he cannot avoid the port city.

The matriarch and unquestioned family head Pearl Lily remains in their district with her second son Ruby Key while her eldest son Garnet Ward represents their interests in Dragon's Jaws where much of the property is owned by their sister Opal Henge. Which of the three will head the family after their mother's death is unclear and the subject of much speculation.

The Red Clay Family are a cadet branch of the family, holding onto gentility and conections but not much wealth. Many work for their senior cousins in trusted positions.
