Physical Description

General Physical Condition

Nyoka was a slender, waifish individual who was unusually pale for their time under the Menagerie sun. The faint scar lines across their skin turned out to be the somewhat disguised marks of scales, from their yuan-ti heritage. They wear long flowing robes, reminiscent of a scholar, with large mineral earrings and bead necklaces. Nyoka has a calm, neutral expression when speaking with most individuals, often showing little excitement for nearly any topic.

Special abilities

As per their status as a Herald, Nyoka turned out be a highly dangerous individual. Their specialization with constructs came from their refined practice as a puppeteer, able to make and control these dangerous constructs. Nyoka was able to defeat many mercenaries, mages, and warriors protecting Marquis Vasan Atrith, before then almost defeating Invictus FISH as well. They had constructed a secondary pair of arms that allowed them to control even more puppet constructs, which they did so using faint arcane strings detected by Eldan. The puppets they deployed came in different forms and specialties. Some resembled protective warriors, others were bestial, and there may be even more varieties. Alongside the alchemical capabilities of Alpana, Nyoka seemed to equip several of their puppets with poisons as well, though most had run out by the time of Invictus FISH's arrival. Even with reinforcements of the Zhelezo and Shore Wardens, Nyoka was able to escape with Alpana towards the docks.

Personal history

Considering their heritage, it is possible that Nyoka came from one of the islands or jungles of the Menagerie Coast, as these locations have historically been home to many groups of yuan-ti. At some point in their past, Nyoka came across Bavan and was left in awe of the his power and abilities. Soon after, it is expected that Bavan recruited Nyoka to the Heralds of the New Dawn. Considering their skill in puppet craft, Nyoka must have been learning and working on this craft for many years or decades. 
Several months ago, Nyoka was acting as a construct specialist within the Empire, looking to gain fame and wealth. Athesias found their practice and decided to bring Nyoka on for the Heroes of the Coast tournament. However, this was a deception by Nyoka, alongside the other Herald, Alpana, to infiltrate the tournament. Once presented with the opportunity, both individuals accepted and determined that this event would be a prime opportunity to carry out another of their missions. Acting as the construct specialist, Nyoka oversaw and worked on many of the key constructs in the tournament. One of which Invictus FISH faced and displayed a symbol of the Heralds. Nyoka used this to frighten the party and gain information on them, all while causing them to investigate the Herald presence. Quicker than expected, the party was on the Herald's trail thanks to the psionic magics of their new member, Seraphim. Still, Nyoka held off the suspicions long enough to swap in a construct copy of themselves, that was then taken for interrogation by Athesias Uludan's forces. 
Invictus FISH eventually realized, with an explosion, that the Nyoka that was being interrogated was a fake. Meanwhile, Nyoka had already escaped and their location. Leveraging their stealth and puppets, alongside the deception of their fellow Herald, Nyoka and Alpana launched an ambush against Marquis Vasan Atrith and her bodyguards. However, they were eventually stopped by the efforts of Invictus FISH and had to retreat via ship out to sea. Their current location and objective is unknown following their escape into the storm at sea.
