Black Road through the Frostweald

Long ago, the Dread Emporer built this trade route to connect established footholds in the heartland with lucrative ventures along the southeastern coast. For some time it was lost to the world when the Whispered One reappeared and his followers briefly claimed the Frostweald, but with the second fall of Vecna and the cold magic re-emerging in the woods, the Clasp has taken the initiative to reclaim the route.
The Black Road stretches across the Frostweald and the stormcrests for hundreds of miles. Caravans are heavily guarded by soldiers from Yartar, Stilben, Kymal, Emon, and even free mercenaries organized under the Clasp. Everyone gets a piece, making goods traded in this manner expensive, but rare and valuable volcanic materials harvested by Hobgoblin settlements are only available via this trade route.
