Session 3: Shark Attack!

General Summary
Having slain Sken Zabriss and rescued the gnomish explosives expert Nima Cinnarid, our heroes explored a secret cavern hidden behind the peak of the Silver Falls that flow down into the city of Hupperdook at the base of the Silberquel RIdge.
Emerging from a connecting cavern that was sealed behind a heavy steel door, a number of kobolds rushed outwards in an attempt to escape the buildup of smoke caused by a blocked chimney above. Most of them were quickly destroyed, though some were willing to engage in a quick parlay before deciding that discretion was the better part of valour.
Pushing onwards into the lair of Huron Stahlmast, our crack team of investigators discovered the unconscious form of rival bounty huner Yinra Emberwind, who had been imprisoned and apparently sticken by the onslaught of smoke. Despite Ursa's attempt at revival, Yinra unfortunately succumed to carbon monoxide poisoning.
Huron made use of a system of metallic communication pipes to taunt the brave adenturers as they progressed through a series of connected caverns. Uncovering an apparent workshop area, they found plans for maniacal schemes of variable scale and complexity, including a plan to flood the waters of Hupperdook with sharks, to level the city with rockslides triggered by mountainside explosives, and for a clockwork-powered exoskeleton.
Delving still deeper, the heroes came upon an evident mechanical trap: a metallic floor that was designed to give way, plunging the unprepared into a shark tank below. With a foolproof plan to surpass this obstacle, nothing could seemingly go awry. And yet - it did. Ursa fell into the tank and was set upon by a feeding frenzy of reef sharks. It was only with the combined efforts of her companions that the sharks were slain and she was - alive, but barely - pulled to safety.
With this humbling experience behind them, who knows what dangers lie in store? What devious plots does the deranged and disgraced inventor yet intend to unleash upon them? Can they prevail? Will Nima still be asked to carry the head of the Butcher of Ashguard? She really would prefer not. She just wants to be home with a nice cup of tea and good book.
