Auntie Rottongue used illusions to make herself appear as an elderly woman wearing a floral print dressing gown over a lacy apron, tying her hair back in a neat bun, held by a bone hairpin. Her true form was that of a scaly, clawed Green Hag.

Rottongue was a personification of malice and hate. She hated humanity with all her being and acted to make human lives miserable. She was also a great actress, acting like a sweet and loving grandmother. She enjoyed helping mortal heroes because it put them in her debt, and those debts could be used to twist goodly folk to her own ends.
