Aerilyn Galanodel
Councilor Aerilyn Galanodel (a.k.a. Aria)
After witnessing a terrible crime as a child, Aria learned of her true heritage as a teifling and that she was found as an abandoned newborn in the forest. She then became acutely aware that her lifespan will be much shorter than her elf family, declares her adult name (Aerilyn), and decides to leave home on a quest to become an adult in the eyes of her family and community.

Excessively soft brown leather/hide armor with a silky fir lining. Draped over the top is a sleeved, shoulder-less iridescent white surcoat made from local silks and hemmed with gold thread. It is cinched at the waist and shoulders with a brown hide jerkin.
Accessories
Druidic Order's Signet Ring - Typically worn on the right hand. The band has interwoven woods from local plants to look like branches with tiny moonstones dotting it to represent leaves. The signet contains two crescent moons in opposition atop a flowering bud with one carved leaf on top and on bottom. On top of the bud, connecting the signet to the band is a spattering of moonstones to look like a starry constellation.
Horn Decorations - Gold strings and iridescent silken threads weave together and help tiny crystals dangle from the horns. These crystals catch and reflect colored light in direct sunlight. The crystals are no bigger than the size of a thumb tip to the first knuckle, and are of hummingbirds.

Personal history
Aerilyn Galanodel was raised in the town of Ithilond by her moon elf ranger father and sun elf artist mother. Her parent's good hearts, love of nature, and love of artistry rubs off on Aria. Aria grows up to be a morally sound young lady, albeit unable to control her own passions. She follows in her father's footsteps and takes on the job of an informal liaison between the high elf town and local druid circle at an early age. Aria grows up fascinated by druidic culture, stories, and life. Since Aria is raised in a close-knit community since birth, she does not experience the hardships that other teiflings would, and views herself as a high-elf; unaware of her true heritage until revealed later by her parents.
Ithilond is an art and nature commune near Copia Lake consisting of sun and moon elves who trade and celebrate shared community with the local druids and rangers. The art of holography is a particular study in this community - discovering ways that light and other substances/particles (such as light through the trees, filtered dust, etc) can interweave to create beautiful illusions. Within the commune, this type of art is thought to have been the foundation of illusionary magic. However, all other forms of art are also encouraged and welcome. Ithilond's main export product is an iridescent thread made from local plants that can be used to create iridescent silks or for embroidery.
Native people of this coast are called the Ki-Nau. Copia Lake (an ancient, sacred water) is treated as a holy site where warriors and priests come to purify themselves. Aerilyn's path took her south on a three week long trek down the Tyodan River to where the river meets the sea - Port Demali.
Upon arriving at Port Demali, Aerilyn found a rather interesting city full of arts and trade, and currently suffering from a mysterious plague. She decides to try to help a city-sanctioned field hospital by soliciting the various religious authorities within the city for aide and supplies. Deciding to start with a god she is familiar with, Aerilyn ventures to the temple of Hecate - the Twilight Sepulcher.

Hello Mom,
As I am sure you can tell, I finally reached Port Demali! Did dad return from his latest excursion yet? Please share this letter with him as well!
Archdruid Xyoltol was right when he sent me south. I had been in town no sooner than a couple hours when I stumbled upon an open field hospital where they were trying to contain a mysterious, new disease. I’m not any good with healing like some others in my order are, so I offered to help with my only reliable talent: working as a liaison. I was able to solicit some aide from the local clergy and we were able to make great headway into discovering a solution to the “Manic Boils” disease, as it was called.
I think you would really like it here, Mom. There’s wonderful art and culture everywhere. Just yesterday I was able to view the final painting of Ilanis Dalathan, “Quiet Walls,” before it was sold to one of the local temples of Paelor. I am planning to go visit one of the locations of his paintings later since I am in town. I also met a local bard named Gaias Fleck. He’s young, but extremely talented. I’m betting one day we will hear about his great musical talent all the way back in Ithilond!
The team I am working on to resolve the disease is quite the odd bunch. There’s a cleric of Hecate who goes by the name of Rhiannon, a paladin of Paelor who calls himself Happy, a quite daft and headstrong dragonborn named Shen, and a mysterious woman named Xara who was called by her deity to assist us. Based on this group of people, I feel like I may have picked the wrong crystals to adorn my horns. Unfortunately, I left the sun and moon crystals at home in my room when I switched them to the hummingbirds for my travel through the forest.
The trek south took me about 3 weeks, so this is only my third day in the city. I wrote to you as soon as I had some free time. Those three weeks of isolation and exploration really gave me a new perspective on things. I know that when I left I didn’t leave exactly on the best terms with everyone. I acted like a petulant child when you refused to only call me by my adult name, and I am very sorry about that. I hope that you and dad can forgive me and that you can understand why I needed to leave.
With all my love,
Your daughter,
Aria
P.S. I almost forgot, mom, can you talk to the tanner’s son, Brynnyn? Please let him know that the hide set he gave me for my 20th birthday is exquisite upon use, and has done well to protect me from the elements in my normal form. Let him know that he is a great friend and I hope that he is doing well.
