Session 33: Silence and Magical Darkness Report

Gwen stabs the shadowy figure ahead of her, then scampers back up the corridor and steps behind Theia. Ceonwulf takes this as the signal to attack and charges down to the newly opened door, attacking the figure as well. 2K and Ongar join the assault but struggle to bring to bear in the darkness and silence.   Roderick presses past his allies, stepping into the room with the assassin and firing off raven-shaped magic missiles at the enemy combatant. Ongar likewise steps in to the fore, but lacking a viable light source, fires an ill-conceived firebolt into the darkness. The assassin, realising that her assailant cannot see in the darkness, deftly moves into an advantageous position and plants her blade into Ongar's throat, felling him to the ground.
Roderick steps over his fallen comrade and flattens the assassin against the wall with a roar and a strike from his thunder gauntlet; they collapse, dead. Meanwhile, AD-2000 sees the prostrate form and moves to try to aid Ongar, resting his hands upon him as he has witnessed Ceonwulf and Theia perform. Nothing happens for a moment, but as 2K rises, crestfallen, Ongar coughs and regains consciousness. Does the robot likewise have healing hands?
Back in the main corridor, the first thug spotted in his room begins to hear the altercation in the room next door and bursts out, barrelling over Gwen in the process. Theia responds by dropping her zone of silence in order to facilitate a psychic lash attack at the retreating figure, which strikes true but doesn't kill him or stop him entirely. Jakuki and Ceonwulf line up to defend against the ensuing counterattack, though the narrow corridor limits Ceon's effectiveness at fending off the thug that barrels in, lays down a few strikes and then receives one in return from Jakuki before retreating once more and closing the door behind them. A voice entreats the party to perhaps come to an agreement, which goes largely ignored.
Gwen hears stirring from another room and moves to ambush the extra combatant. He exits his room to a sharp blow from Gwen, and reciprocates with a few of his own. Once the brawl ends (and Ceonwulf steps back to help finish off the weakened foe), he lays dead at Gwen's feet while she's sorely bruised from his mace.
The thugs facing off against the dwarves reopen the door only to receive a lightning javelin greeting; this cleanly spears one man, killing him, while the other raggedly reseals the door. Jakuki charges ahead through the door, finding himself cloaked in magical darkness, seemingly surrounded by foes...
