Big Iron
The Dwarf + Mattock
This is where the tale begins it's journey into legend and wild ends. The dwarf was said to save his friend from these bounty hunters and in turn the friend enchanted the mattock. It is said, he told the dwarf that it would fly and always return as long as his hand stayed true. The mattock gained a new name for it's ol'heavy iron head and steady hand of justice wielding it, Big Iron. It is told by many of different lands, this dwarf with a Big Iron on his hip walked into town and served justice to those in need. His name is unknown, but it is not needed for his hand and the Big Iron is all he needs of speech. The Legend
Just A Tool
A dwarf drunken from bad break-up with his wife crafted a mattock too heavy to swing and too long to hold. Leaving all his possessions, keeping only a travel pack and this terrible mattock he went off to do roadwork. It is unknown if he wished for death, or to fill his time with pain and anger, but there he was out of spite and with might he swung this tool like his wife....ex-wife swung him. From small village roads to city palace gardens, he swung this terrible mattock all the while quietly stoic in his work. Until......I was wrong...
Destroying the road he once destroyed, he saw her....and him together. Smiling, laughing and here he was back again just the same. Unbeknownst to his work, they walked his road and strolled on by him just as easy as a breeze. For he stood, unswung his mattock laid, and he looked to where he was and where his road would led. Drawing great breath, he smelled fresh dew upon green sprouts and smiled.....Times They Are A Changing
A carefree attitude with welcoming smile to those new, he swung his worn mattock in callous hands and by heavy shoulders. A fresh day of work and humble thought with fellows to swing along side. It was he who was unbeknownst when the air grew sour and hooves of tired horses rode too. Here they stopped, taking by force a fellow to called villain for a criminal long ago. Time had forgotten and forgave, but they of little years did not. Yet he did.....Steady Hand + Full Heart
He swung not for anger, spite, or necessity, but his fellow's aid. The handle sliding with ease in steady hands finding the worn notch, he struck true. A good tool and strong back do not win a fight as a blade found it's way to him. With the same ease his mattock flew like it had grown wings and cowardliness, there he stood his ground between his fellow and a fiend who only desired momentary wanton with old, easy coin. This was injustice that he would swing for.....Mood/Inspriation
