Culture
The "Horsement of Sofice-er" have established schools in three other major cities in Bakday. These Institutions have elevated the training of horsemen and equine skills to a very high level and raised the stature of the position greatly. It is now common that at least one person in each family attempts to belong to this group.
History
In the 650 years of Bakday, the country has changed very little in its geography, Organisational Structure or Culture. It is very closely aligned to its larger neighbour Sassandra which acts as its protector.
There has been no attempt to modernise the country by Sassandra which is purely political in nature. Bakday has a primitive economy and is still loosely based on the Feudal system to run its economy.
The Unkurinia Family which was a high Sassandra noble family took control of the land not known as Bakday and established a form of government for the first time in CL 4X122. Since then a constant line has continued to manage the territory for over 600 years with 60 princes and 4 princesses holding control. They have never called themselves King or Queen so as to not upset their neighbour. The independence of Bakday is maintained by the equestrian skills of the "Horsemen of Sofice-er" who are the most skilled riders in the whole lower Visigoth region.
Before they gained their independence they held total power in the far Eastern Sassandra region (which is now Bakday) and they used it to disrupt the Sassandra government's attempt to govern the area and provide military support to the central government operations.
