Carrier Pigeon Peace Letter

A Carrier Pigeon is credited with finishing the 20-year war between Different factions of the Nana Kea government in the year 12441.    The war had been raging between the 2 noble factions of the ruling families off and on for most of this time. The country had been forced into a civil war because of basically noble ambition which had inflicted death and destruction on a large scale.    In summary, the Nana Kra Society is an amalgam of the noble families of 3 different geographic areas. The East, The West and The Central Lands came together to form one nation-state. There are approximately 8 major noble families and 25 minor noble families. The 8 major families are also very diverse with some incredibly wealthy but others having a long history but not a lot of wealth compared to the others. So there is not a lot to bind them except it usually creates a common benefit. The government had a rotational head of state shared between the 8 major noble families, which was mainly a ceremonial role, while the day to day running of the country was managed by the 32 noble families.    However, 3 of the most powerful families and a few of the minor families tried to gain more control and in doing so upset the other families. This splintering of the nobility was very damaging as it fractures former friends against each other causing fighting to be conducted through the country on many fronts.     After 20 years of virtual stalemate, the families were no closer to winning on the battlefields and a new approach was tried between the leading women of the warring families. A series of letters were sent by carrier pigeons over several months to try and discuss possible resolutions to the conflict since the men could not win on the battlefield.    In the end, many families agreed to a truce, but two of the largest families were still determined to fight on. There was a major battle planned in the hinterlands of the Bay of Tears but several noblewomen had tried to offer an alternative solution whereby the firstborn children would marry to stop the war. Ultimately the war was due to begin at daylight but with just hours to spare a carrier pigeon arrived with a message that stopped the war.    The letter itself is only 4 words long. But these 4 words had a monumental impact. It says "I will marry Him".
