Mauke Tsunami

A tried and tested model nearly as old as the company itself the Tsunami is a Core that borders on the Superheavy catagory at over 900lbs. The Tsunami is reliable in every aspect, while not focusing on a specialty its versatility is the reason its been in production for 80 years. Its unique design is similar to that of the Walker Tanks of the past and its modular construction allows damaged parts to be replaced easily.   The Tsunami has a reputation of being quite ugly and bulky but in recent years its received a resurgence in popularity through the aid of Duelists like Aimee, a new model has come into production within the last 2 years which has received considerable hype for its sleeker, more brutal looking design.   There are 5 standard models of the Mauke Tsunami, however only 3 are still in use;

Tsunami Mk.1, Mk.2 [Out of Service]

The first models of the Tsunami were relatively simple, utilizing modified versions of the Auber Walking Tank they saw little success due to their input delay and limited mobility. The Mk.2 was an improvement by integrating the Nerua-Link system directly into the unit but even with a minor increase in popularity it still wasn't a particularly large success.

Tsunami Mk.3

Its size decreased by nearly 4 foot, weight reduced by a quarter and its input system utilizing the first prototype E-Nerves the Tsunami Mk.3 was an excellent model ahead of its time, sadly however its connection with older Tsunami models lead to only a few of the Mk.3's being produced. The old model has received a resurgence in recent times as its prototype E-Nerve system has full input, meaning improved reaction times and easier grounding however the early model lacked E-Nerve dampeners, meaning pain for the Exocore was pain for the Pilot.

Tsunami Mk.4

Once the E-Nerve concerns were fixed and the technology further miniaturized the Mk.4 was a great success, though it had shaky sales upon release its ease of use was what brought it to the forefront of Mauke Co. marketing even today. Wheeled feet, remote grapple launchers, detachable plating and a Neura-Link detector have made the Mk.4 a staple of Pilot combat for years.

Tsunami Mk.4A[The Armageddon]

Popularized by Aimee what was once a custom build for the Mk.4 has now become its own series. With two mounted weapons on the shoulders and each hand replaced with a heavy weapon the Armageddon has little capacity to do anything but obliterate all before it. Its primary weakness, due to the power consumption of its weapons, is overload.

Power Generation

The Tsunami Mk.3 & Mk.4 run off the same battery system, though somewhat outdated and prone to overheating its overall reliability and resilience make it a perfect fit. the Mk.4A however uses a more modern, modified version which specializes in focusing power when needed.

Propulsion

The Tsunami utilizes wheel mounts on its legs to assist movement but for stability and accuracy its speed is limited to 30ft.

Weapons & Armament

The Mk.4 utilizes a pair of grapple launchers on its shoulders to pull itself towards opponents or attach to faster moving Cores to keep pace and get in close. For emergency situations it also bears a burst cannon in its chest, often utilized as a self defense mechanism due to the time it takes for the system to reload the cannon.   The Mk.4 instead bears a pair of linked autocannons on its shoulders, while these weapons lack the significant output of the cannon their large clip size and ease of use make them a more reliable choice for the combat focused model.

Armor and defense

The Tsunami's detachable armor is extremely useful for emergency field repairs and modification. The main reason why the Tsunami Mk.4 became so well known was because its external modifications could be switched on the fly.

Communication Tools & Systems

The Tsunami keeps to a basic two way radio system, however it also bears an open speaker system, allowing it to communicate openly to allies and enemies in the field.

Sensors

Though the Mk.3 and Mk.4 bear standard, if not sub-optimal audio and visual sensors the Mk.4A bears state of the art target tracking. Once a target has been spotted the system will automatically adjust for their movement, wind direction and any potential hazards in the way.
