The Scandinavian Kingdoms
The calamity that fractured the world changed much of Europe, many places falling to the chaos the Rapture Virus brought with it, the cities fell fast, acting as vector points to bring down whole counties within weeks, the forests of Europe began to crumble also, leaving much of the continent in disarray and killing millions. Far in the north, however, the virus could not travel quickly through such dense vegetation, cutting back these tick northern forests by many miles but leaving much of the area virus free.
The countries of Denmark, Norway, Sweden & Finland were left in exodus, fleeing into the northern forests, with this exodus came great change; with many governments having already fallen the rule of these lands simply came down to those who could and thus for a time these groups were separate clans, each following the tenants and laws set by their leader. This all changed in 2334, when King Lars I of Clan Wollevenne began a unification effort over Denmark which ended up expanding into much of what is now known as the Scandinavian Kingdoms. This unified rule was broken after King Lars passed away twenty years after his rise to regency, after which the now mostly unified land separated once more, reclaiming the names of their old lands though the borders long gone.
The current leaders are Queen Mayke of Denmark, King Lars' heir, King Nicolas II of Norway, King Nooa I of Finland and Queen Berit III of Sweden. Each of which rule within Castle Alos, their hierarchy operates more as a council than an actual monarchy, each having equal share of control.
The land itself has actually grown more virulent in the past hundred years since the virus passed, though some trees still hold remnants of the virus, marked by their bone white bark, the majority of the land has flourished. This along with the assorted technologies the land still had from the Capital War means that much of the building material for the Scandinavian Kingdoms are not cut, but shaped, giving the place an almost fantastical appearance to outsiders. In recent years the Scandinavian Kingdoms have been the leading force for biotechnology and World Weave technology.
Geography
The dense forests and mountains of the north are where many smaller towns and settlements can be found, most are interconnected via drone network and thus getting there by foot is near impossible without knowing your way around. The central and western areas are mostly arboreal towns and cities as well as selected labs and factories which are often buried beneath the forest floor while the south is largely abandoned, the crawl of the virus all but stopped but many still prefer to not take chances.
Travel via river is common throughout the north while the central regions prefer to travel by air, with uninfected trees a bountiful but crucial commodity roads are extremely rare, usually only connecting the most crucial of locations and even then are often built above or below the treeline.
Fauna & Flora
With the renewal of nature the flora and fauna are making a good recovery, wolves, deer, rabbits and all assortment of woodland creature is making a return, some creatures once thought lost to the virus are even starting to appear.
Some plants have had an odd reaction to the virus, Bone Ivy is a common problem in the southern parts of the country and is seen as a considerable problem that must be cleared urgently.
Natural Resources
The Kingdoms make use of all at their disposal, trees are seen as their most crucial resource being so easily shaped and with so many uses. Many mines dot the land, though these are near unnoticeable being largely drone operated and the countries largest export are their plants and flowers, many of which have been genetically engineered to serve specific purposes.
A rising company from within the Kingdoms, Greenlance Industries, creates customized plants for more than just medicine, bark as strong as iron, leaves like Kevlar and spur guns are all common exports for the Scandinavian company.
