Tinama Maori
Roaming across the battlefield, unnoticed until too late, the Tinama Maori is a new model that has found itself in the spotlight. The original Maori model was strong but lacked a particular style to stand out above others, this heavy Core was built for ambush tactics but its early rendition lacked the pure destructive output or stealth to be particularly capable at either. For two years the Maori was simply a Core that filled stock in Tinama's storehouses.
Its niche was actually found by accident, a freelance pilot, Jay-27, had his Core nearly annihilated in a failed ambush attempt and after bringing down his opponent he used the intact pieces to repair himself, not an unheard of tactic but not particularly effective either. Due to the Maori's modularity the installed components in the reclaimed limbs actually functioned, Jay's Maori became renowned for this, somewhat of a Frankenstein Core. Shortly after Jays victory Tinama themselves hired him and the Maori Mk.2 was released.
The Maori's Mk.2 capacity to cannibalize other Cores was aided by the modified repair system it utilized, allowing it to integrate components which lead to the Maori's growth and improvement over time. This snowballing strength meant that many Duelists will track down and destroy Maori before they can gain a foothold in a match.
The actual construction of the Maori is extremely similar between both models, standing at just under 7ft tall the Maori's casing is covered in reactive florescent tattoos which can be shaped and moved at will, these tattoos can be turned off for stealth and tracking purposes but many also use them as silent communications with nearby team mates, creating symbols and arrows to direct operations. The Maori wields a heavy shock club it uses to stun an enemy before stealing their components while they are still active, a process which can cause severe strain to the mind of the enemy Pilot.
Power Generation
The Maori's versatility comes from its specialized battery, though larger than most this battery allows for anything wired into its casing to be powered, though this integration costs more battery power than it usually would should it be installed normally.
Weapons & Armament
The shock club wielded by the Maori is built both for offense and utility, the weapon alone is enough to deal heavy damage to opponents, the shock mode is built to disable a Core long enough to steal components straight off its casing.
Communication Tools & Systems
Standard two-way broadcast
Sensors
standard audio and visual sensors
Additional & auxiliary systems
The Maori holds a unique join modularity that allows components to be replaced and repaired easily, the Mk.2 comes with a set of modified repair armors used to detach and wire in tools stolen from other Cores, though this takes time.
Hangars & docked vessels
Ever since the Mk.2 the Maori comes in a large pod that appears like a chemical vat, this vat can be dropped or placed into a battlefield and with great spectacle the liquids inside will leak, smoke will billow and the glowing Maori will burst onto the battlefield.
