Tinama Viking
Few Exocores strike such an intimidating silhouette as Tinama's signature Viking model. Standing at nearly seven foot tall the Viking is a specialized close combat model built around use of its specialized weaponry. Unlike many of Tinama's other close combat models the Viking lacks any improvements to movement but its sheer power and resilience make it an inevitability that if it can get close then even Super Heavy models are going to feel the pain.
The Viking bears the unique feature of two independent ocular modules, besides the intimidation of its two glowing eyes bearing down upon an opponent this modification allows the Viking an improved depth perception necessary for gauging distances and enemy movements. The Viking bears the benefit of having heavier armor without losing its agility providing it considerable survivability under extreme firepower and this pared with its weaponry allows the Viking to close distance and wreck havoc upon an enemy.
The reason this Core bears such a reputation however is neither its height or appearance. The Ragnarok Edge weaponry it wields utilizes partially ionized plasma blades (cold plasma) to tear into armor and overload internal electronics. Though many other companies have attempted to reproduce this technology its exact output is a closely kept secret and one of the many reasons Tinama keeps its name even through the hard times.
Power Generation
The Viking operates through a cold plasma core which is primarily used to fuel its weapons. Because of this specialty however it struggles to process output for external components and other weapons.
Weapons & Armament
The Tinama Viking comes with two in-built weapons. the heavy two handed Ax with a Ragnarok Edge blade and a heavy shock crossbow built into its right arm. The crossbow is only built for emergencies when the Viking could not conceivably get in range without severe damage to itself, though some have modified the crossbow for a more offensive purpose, utilizing modified explosive rounds.
For extra cost some Viking models also utilize a Ragnarok Edge sword, which can be used alongside the energy shield unlike the Ax.
Armor and defense
The armor used by the Viking is good for a medium Core, however its true defensive capacity comes with the use of its energy shield. this module, built into the Cores left arm, creates a personal full body shield in front of the Viking, this shield can be used while mobile but cannot be used alongside the Ax.
Communication Tools & Systems
The Viking operates on a two-way radio broadcast with in built speaker system to allow for communication to all surrounding units, some Duelists use this speaker to broadcast ambient noise or music as a sort of psychological warfare against opponents.
Sensors
Bearing two separate ocular units allows for improved depth perception, besides this its auditory sensors are standard.
Hangars & docked vessels
Tinama Vikings come with a Valkyrie Drop parachute, a large external frame built to appear as a pair of golden wings, these are often used to drop the Viking quickly into engagements and have their own transport system to return them to base after a match has ended.
