A strange girl, quite and not very confrontational. However, it is obvious their is a fire in her.
With arcane scars along her right eye, Acanith has not always had the best time in social situations. Yet, being a practitioner of magic, she doesn't usually see many people. Having studied for a time at the College of Arcanum, Acanith researches the uncontrollable nature of magic.
Having now embarked on a quest that has taken her through the Kadesh Aqueducts, Acanith hopes that the money she may earn from this endeavor will be enough to finance the research needed to fix her illness. That illness being the magic that is tearing her apart from the inside.
Physical Description
General Physical Condition
Acanith may look fine, but on the inside she is dying. The magic that was released in the explosion that killed both her parents may have given her magical abilities, however, it also gave her life a much shorter time limit. Although she has been able to stabilize and slow the magic that is eating away at her with her crystal focus and the collar and ring she wears, made of Xanthaos Ore - ore that is able to disrupt magic due to its magnetic properties - she is still dying nonetheless.

Personal history
Born in the Thamar conclave to two loving parents, Acanith grew up in a house of arcane researchers. Able to accompany her parents on their experiments and act as a helper, Acanith was exposed to the world of magic at a very young age. However, she showed no signs of having magical capabilities.
When she was 12, her parents began experimenting on raw magic. During one of their experiments, the magic was set off and it overloaded, destroying the machine and killing both her parents. Acanith was also hit by the blast but instead of killing her, she was imbued with a lethal amount of magic. Though she gained magical capabilities, her body also began to deteriorate due to the amount of magic coursing through her.
She was rushed to the hospital and when the healers could do nothing, they sent her to the Star-Crest Academy. There is was research and treated more like an experiment than a person by one of the Archmages, Archmage Calandri. There she was given a necklace and ring to suppress the illness and a orb to channel her magic through. After the board of Magi found out about how she was being treated, they exiled Archmage Calandri and sent Acanith to a very well known Archmage, Archmage Yandarmek, who was currently working at the College of Arcanum. There he helped her be able to use her magic a bit and together they came up with theories to try and cure her.
Recently, she heard about a large prize of money that could be won should she take part in a race of sorts. Really needing the money if she had any hopes to further her research into her illness since the College funds were put on lockdown since Eliza was taken into custody, she decided that she would sign up.
During the race, she realized she was not given all the facts, and after watching the cult kill one person and leave another to die, she knew she couldn't let them get whatever thy were after. She joined forces with three other turncoats and while the Cult was focus on the group they were racing, they flew up and activated a similar forcefield machine that they had seen previously in the Aqueducts and saved the other group and prevent the Cult from getting into the ruined structure that they were attempting to reach.
