A mercenary by trade, Taliris used to be a soldier in the Brokyian Forest Guard before leaving that monotonous life and becoming a sword for hire. Marked as a Nomad, Taliris tends to work alone, believing that other people will slow her down and bring her less pay. A mercenary on the rise, Taliris was know in quite a few circles. However, she wished to be known in all and hoped that the job she took in Kadesh would be able to get her name on the map.
However, this job would not turn out to well for her, as a quick encounter with the Wanadead would prove fatal. Just like that, Taliris would fade from existence as just another mercenary trying to make it in this savage world.

Personal history
Joined the Forest Guard in her youth as she wanted had a lot of nationalism towards her home. However, she realized that being a Forest Guard was really boring when not in a war. Taliris wanted the brush of death that came with combat. She most certainly did not want to sit around the edge of the forest her entire life, letting merchants pass through.
So, after 40 years as a Forest Guard, Taliris saved up enough money and left for the Altranoyian Empire in hopes of finding fame, fortune, and battle. She spent quite a bit of time in the Sastujian Empire before Altranoyia and grew quite fond of the Dwarves. However, she seeked recognition and wanted to be known across Exodus, not just in the lands of the Dwarves. Thus she departed for Altranoyia and began to develop a reputation, a minor one but nonetheless, she felt the intoxication of fame.
She was looking for her big break, so when she heard about the "Gauntlet" that was happening in Kadesh, she knew that she needed to take part in it. Unfortunately, she would end up losing her life on the mission, dying in a place her body would never be found, and her name being forgotten by anyone who had previously uttered it.
