Sand Viper
Sand Vipers are ambush predators. With upward-facing eyes, they hide beneath the sand and lie in wait for something to move close by. They have two very strong weapons. Fangs to deliver a potent venom and a clubbed or speared tail that reports say have been used to disable vehicles as of late.
While the males have clubbed tails that they use for their courting rituals, the females have more of a spear-like end to theirs. Eggs are buried in nests and left alone to incubate. When the eggs hatch, the young immediately spread and bury themselves to catch small lizards and other small creatures.
