Ghosts

Ectoplasm is an otherworldly substance known to react (for whatever reason) to human emotion. A ghost is an entity created when a massive emotional trauma comes into contact with ectoplasm, creating an embodiment of the person in the tragedy which then roams the earth in search of peace. Ghosts are among the deadliest of monsters, and are immune to most attacks and very difficult to destroy. Ghosts can slip through the tiniest crack, pass unseen, and can appear and disappear in different places, tho they seem to gravitate towards a certain location of meaning to them. They can inhabit the bodies of the living, or inanimate objects. Deadliest of all, their very touch means death. During the day, a ghost's powers are weaker, but at night there is little to no defense against them. Ectoplasm has already begun to be investigated for scientific application, e.g. atomic brain, ecto-link.
