Medusa

Medusae are humanoid women who have snakes in place of hair. They are exceedingly rare, and only a few are known to be on Earth.

Danger

Medusae are extremely dangerous to mankind. Looking at the face of a medusa causes the beholder to be turned to stone, permanently. (Side note: Their kiss is also laced with venom.)

Detection

The hissing and rattling of a medusa's snakes is detectable when they are close.

Abilities

• Strong
• Able to move with blinding speed (appearing somewhere else)
• Senses as sharp as an animal
• Armed with claws and teeth
• Like other undead, they are very hard to kill. Each time they transform, their body repairs itself.

Destruction

Beware, for these creatures are immortal. Decapitation is fairly certain, though their heads are known to be lethal even afterwards.

Curse

Medusa are not known to pass on their curse.
