Deia, Mother Goddess
A follower of Deia would be hardpressed to find a location in Ezrion in which they would be discriminated against. Deia is the Mother Goddess of love, life, beauty, relationships, and emotions. Most things good in the world can trace their roots to Deia's wishes. The legend goes that the first tree in the Ji sprouted out an arm. Then another arm. And then, a head, and a neck, and a body. Until a nude woman lay in the birthplace of a world. She then made it her duty to protect the world from harm, and show all of its creatures love. Deidron, the Father God, was said to have come from the clouds. The two locked eyes and an instant, undeniable spark flew. This spark gave to the world magic, in its raw form.
In the Age of Gods Among Men, Deia could be seen by her lovers (and her haters) singing songs on the outskirts of town. She would give food to entire settlements for months, watch over people as they went on perilous journeys, and protect children at all costs. She is painted in old art books and described as a dark skin woman, with long, curly black hair that effortlessly fell down to her lower back. She is a God, so the history books record her as being 10 feet tall, typically seen with a white gown on, and nothing else. Many places worship Deia as honorably and ethically as they can, while others perform rituals, and, her unwillingness to give in giving them more power, uses her gifts to destroy and corrupt the minds of people.
To people that mean much to her or ones that will fulfill heroic prophecy, she visits them. Some in the physical manifestation of some body, while others in their dreams and nightmares, are always there to protect them.
