Richard of Devizes

A monk of the Benedictine St Swithun's monastery in Winchester from c. 1150 to c. 1200.
His Chronicon de tempore regis Richardi primi (Chronicle of the times of Richard I) is not a complete chronicle, but a series of notes covering 27 months in the early part of Richard's reign, from his coronation in September 1189 to his withdrawal from the HOly Land in July 1192.
