Mid River Flood Zones

There is a river that cuts Fabula in half. A section of the river is prone to flooding.

Geography

Th river that effectively splits the Enchanted forest and The Wilds in the north of Fabula is surrounded by large cliffs on each side. The south of the river (fans out) to Aeolia, the country of many islands. The middle of Fabula consists of plains. Here the river floods seasonally according to climate and weather, as well as the occasional magical disturbance.

What can we say about the area? It is wet. It is in fact, more wet than a puddle and less wet than an ocean. Not during raining season and the melting of the snow, it is less wet.

There are farmland that produce beans and rice on the western side of the river and grains on the eastern side of the river.

Localized Phenomena

On each side of the river there is a particular grandma who is only known for their lectures about the specialty produce there.

On the western side is a grandma who is never seen until someone mentions the words 'rice' or 'bean'. Thereafter the grandma will compound the mentioner with at least a two hour lecture on the difference between rice and beans. She can somehow put in fart jokes without noticing they are jokes.

On the eastern side is a grandma who lectures the superiority of wheat and will not let anyone go past her without making sure they have wheat on them. If they are unfortunate enough to meet her withour wheat, she will lecture them with great vigor and strength of many men.

I've heard that I cannot talk to anyone over 32 just in case they are the old lady that will suck your soul by beating you to death with wheat.
