Half Elves

There are 4 main Elven Subtypes

• Anarvan (Sun) - Bronzed Skin, Black, Copper, Golden Blond or Red hair. Conceded, and withdrawn from the world, a very small population of these out there.
• Isilvan (Moon) - Blue skinned, with Black, Silver Grey, and White Hair Colors. Tend to take to Mountains, so as to be close to the Moon. More numerious then Sun Elfs, but a little less standoffish. Highly pointed ears.
• Sylvan (Wood) - Your typical Wood Elf, think Tolkien. Protector of forests and nature, more common in the northern side of the continent, likes bows, hides well, etc.
• Germanic (High) - Blond Hair Blue Eyed, Light Skinned Tall and Slender Elven Race, full of themselves and out to enslave the planet. These guys are all over the southern continent and are the most numerous of the elven nations, and most active in world affairs. They think they are better than the lesser races.

The 14 subraces of Half-Elf's

While there are several Human subraces, the ones closest to the 4 Elven subraces are where you see most of the Half Elfs from. So, by Elven Subrace, these are the subraces of Half-Elf. Note the number in [#%] is the rarity percentage of that race being the Human pair.

• Anarvan (Sun) [5%]
  • Anarmic [5%] - Mixed with Dalomons Humans (Creole / Italian Culture)
  • Anarsian [5%] - Mixed with Mersian Humans (Castilian Culture)
  • Anarthean [90%] - Mixed with Parthean Humans (Athena Roman Culture)
• Germanic (High) [20%] <-- Because they are often killed by the Germanic Parents as Half Breeds.
  • Gerdarian [55%] - Mixed with Vidarian Humans (English / Welsh Culture)
  • Gerlorn [5%] - Mixed with Lornites Humans (Romania Culture)
  • Gernite [40%] - Mixed with Faerinite Humans (French Culture)
• Isilvan (Moon) [15%]
  • Isilgosian [15%] - Mixed with Argosian Humans (Norse Culture)
  • Isilran [25%] - Mixed with Doran Humans (Swiss / Alpine Culture)
  • Isiltonian [60%] - Mixed with Cystonian Humans (Greek Culture)

  • Syldorian [5%] - Mixed with Doran Humans (Swiss / Alpine Culture)
  • Sylgosian [40%] - Mixed with Argosian Humans (Norse Culture)
  • Sylnic [10%] - Mixed with Mordvinic Humans (Uralic Culture)

  • Sylzar [20%] - Mixed with Zargin Humans (Russian Culture)

Physical looks when mixed with an Elven heritage, the following traits are dominant:

• Anarvan/Human - Bronzed Skin, Black, Copper, Golden Blond or Red hair. The parent and immediate family of your Elven parent will accept you. The community at large will scorn you privately as well as they will the parent. This can spill over to openly slighting you and forgetting you're there in a public setting.
• Isilvan /Human - Pale bluish skin tones, Silver, Grey, and White hair colors are common. Rarely light brown or blond. If the pale blue skin doesn't give them away, the ears will, longer than most elven ears, but shorter than that of a full-blooded Isilvan Elf.
• Sylvan/Human - Can easily pass in human or sylvan circles. Half-elves are generally accepted in sylvan areas if they grew up with an Elven parent knowing the ways of the Elves and nature. When raised by humans, there is a little bit of resistance unless you're known to the Sylvan community.
• Germanic/Human - Slightly gray undertones in the skin, Light-colored hair, Rejected in Germanic Elven communities as a half breed. In part, this is due to the mix generating a child that stands out as not elven, but even if they matched, the fact that they are a half-blood will leave them little standing in the Germanic elven community.

A note on hair: Elven hair tends to be a very fine thing, Half-Elven children will have thicker hair overall in Elven standards, but still then by human standards. Elven hair is on the top of their head, and almost nowhere else. A Half-Elven Man can have beards like there human ancestors, they take more work and grow in slowly. Other body hair is missing from below the neck on both genders of Half-Elves and can be a tale-tale sign of Half-Elven descent.

Languages of the Half-Elf:

• Anarvan (Sun) - Elven Parent would speak Elder Sylvan.
  • Anarmic - Dalomons Language of Dalomic, less chance of Elven.
  • Anarsian - Mersian Language of Mersinic, some chance of Elven.
  • Anarthean - Parthean Language of Alantean or Cysteian, plus a higher chance of Elven.
• Germanic (High) - Elven Parent would speak Germanic; very rare to be raised by a Germaic Elf, likely in slavery if it is done. That said, if you grew up in Germanic Accupide lands you would need to understand lower Germanic, so there is a high chance of it being a secondary language for you.
  • Gerdarian - Vidarian Language of Vidaric
  • Gerlorn - Lornites Language of Lorinic
  • Gernite - Faerinite Language of Faerinic
• Isilvan (Moon) – Elven Parent would speak Fae, a fair chance at also being exposed to Sylvan.
  • Isilgosian [15%] - Argosian Language of Argosian, high chance of Sylvan.
  • Isilran [25%] - Doran Language of Dordenian. A small chance at being exposed to Sylvan.
  • Isiltonian [60%] - Cystonian Language of Cysteian. Good chance at knowing Sylvan.
• Sylvan (Wood) [60%] – Elven Parent would speak Sylvan.
  • Syldorian [5%] - Doran Language of Dordenian. More humans more isolated, less likely to know the parent tongue if with the human parent.
  • Sylgosian [40%] - Argosian Language of Argosian. Very high chance of speaking both parent's language.
  • Sylnic [10%] - Mordvinic Language of Fingressian. Rural humans would lead to higher knowledge of Sylvan, and some Fae. Costal City dwellers would have low chance of it.
  • Syltonian [25%] - Cystonian Language of Cysteian. Northern Cystonians would be better able to speak elven, then southern one living on the Bay of Umma.
  • Sylzar [20%] - Zargin Language of Zytrealian, High likely hood of also being exposed to the Orc Tounge of Gak. If in a Zyrgin household.
