Wind—Airpower Article written by Timmy

"Please note this article has been taken straight from Leda Lace's lecture "The Potential for Wind Power" held in the Library of Alexandra to a packed audience in 1850. It was a different time, a time when research was celebrated and researchers and academics were lionized."
  "(Incomprehensible mumbling)"
"Okay, no they were not literally turned into lions, Timmy. Please, just listen."
Airpower, or wind is one of the least well utilized resources in Broceliande. As many millers will tell you, grain could more easily be ground if we encouraged the use of windmills or if the fae would let humans use their silver in the creation of much needed infrastructure.   As it is, modern wind turbines utilising dangerous metals like steel are rarely used except in places like Dream City where they help to create expensive goods under the watchful eye of Gremlins , and only because the Gremlins monitor the site with constant anti-magic fields.   In fact the use of this technology may well still be illegal under the Broceliande accords along with most other uses for steel. But with the new push for windmills, meetings between the council of seven will be happening within the next hundred years to figure out what should be done about the extreme danger this presents to everyone in Dream City as more rogue windmills appear. Magic binds with metal and oxygen. It's an extremely dangerous and potent combination that is catalyzed by friction and movement. Oils to coat the metal seem to have little effect, and often make things worse—as once started, they feed the resulting blaze. Some have insisted that metals are used to deliberately create these "contraption explosions" and use them to power various magical crystals and drying apparatus, or even to create winds and lightning. Such people have usually blown themselves up before they've created an real damage to our beautiful countrys...
Oh wait - no the two recently built windmills have both exploded in flames...I think we can safely say that from now on anything other than small sailed windmills made from cloth and logs will be consented. And that concludes my speech.
Timmy, you know you're supposed to do the project yourself, not get the writing pen to copy audio presentations. And maybe you could find some pictures. This will get you an F at best.
"You think you know all there is to know about wind and power, but the truth is you don't. My uncle had a job at Wind City and I can tell you now that nothing would get done without the Gremlins and their anti-magic fields that make it possible for them to work with machines in the same way as they're used in low-magic worlds. The Gremlins with their anti-magic fields do make the turbines within Dream City safer, but even so my uncle says the risk is poorly understood.
He says that anyone with any sense knows that anything with moving metal parts is a sure-fire cause of explosions, warping, magical dissonance and other disasters. Bad enough that  Dream City uses lightning rods to help bottle and powder their tinctures of Dreams, but that they have a literal underclass of Gremlins working in very dangerous conditions, and with the added risk of unoxidised and often powerful Dreams is insane."
