Session 05 - Refugee Camp, Forge of Fury
General Summary
The Party receives the interpretation of map outlining the entrances to the Khundrukar initially uncovered from the Sunken Citadel. Elder Mallaster also deciphered the Draconic texts from the Sunken Temple and suggested the Mt. Hotenow eruption may have been caused by the placement of a red dragon egg within the forge to either hatch an egg of Ashardalon lineage and/or as a method for creating a hotter, more powerful forge to craft mightier weapons of war. Elder Mallaster indicated that Delgor was a bastard son of Durgeddin the Black (The Smithy-leader of Khundrukar) and may have held Delgor's mother in captivity as she was part of a nearby warring Duergar barbarian tribe from the Crags north of Mt. Hotenow. The map to Khundrukar showed several entrance options, the party took the advice of Elder Mallaster to enter Khundrukar from the Mountain Door. In the initial assault through the Mountain Door, the party defeated 16 Orcs, Great Ulfe the Ogre, A Dire Wolf named Vak and Old Yarrack an Orog. Delgor also successfully used the Cave Fisher meat to link to Thrag another Dire Wolf that was under Ulfe's control prior to Delgor's ritual with the Cave Fisher meat.
