Criminal Activity
After Vinos Serrat comes up empty-handed at the thieves guild, Stella suggests they look for a local tavern for some lips to loosen. Their search brings them to the Drowning Flagon Inn which is unusally empty at this time of day. Speaking with the dwarven bartender, they learn that the Inn is struggling to make ends meet which has severely limited what their establishment can afford to prepare for it's guests. After further inquiry, they learn a pirate captain who deals in smuggling black market goods used to frequent his establishment. Normally he paid his tab before leaving, but on his most recent visit he wracked up a huge tab and skipped out. Nobody has seen Janis Crow in Marsember since. FeatherFace, offers to track him down and recover the money owed minus a finder's fee.
Janis Crow normally paid his bar tab in full before leaving. Three weeks ago, he arrived with his entire crew and held a huge party which rang up a sizable debt with the establishment. But unlike previous times, Janis Crow left without paying causing the establishment to be unable to remain running at full capacity. Eventually, due to the lack of amenities and offerings on their menu, the locals stopped frequenting his bar.
FeatherFace , upon learning of this misdeed, offers to track down Janis Crow for the dwarven innkeeper for a small reward. The dwarf grudgingly accepts the offer and begins describing in detail what he knows about Janis Crow, his ship, and the crewmates. "The Rusty Crow," is the galleon he commands, but has not been seen around Marsember ever since that night.
The innkeeper estimates Janis Crow and his crew still owe him roughly 500 gold lions. FeatherFace & the dwarven innkeeper haggle a bit over the percentages of the finder's fee and eventually settle on a fee of 80 gold lions. The dwarf & FeatherFace shake hands to finalize their verbal contract.
