Wail of the Banshees

The Bucket Brigade decides to investigate deeper into the cursed tomb. Stella "The Frozen" Sheethnae walks right into a gelatinous cube. As The Bucket Brigade fights to free their companion, a group of banshees they spotted nearby is drawn to the noise of their fights with the cube.   One banshee lets out a horrific wail which causes Stella "The Frozen" Sheethnae to fall unconscious. The Bucket Brigade decide to make a hasty retreat back to the surface, but are unable to cast dimension door from within the tomb.   After retreating to the entrance of the tomb, they are finally able to use their dimension door spell to retreat back to the surface and manage to reappear in the portion of Marsember that was directly above the tomb entrance. They return back to the The Old Oar Inn to rest and recover from their wounds.

Nimbus steps onto the short set of stairs decending to a hallway leading deeper in. She immediately slips on the slick surface causing her to fall on her ass and slide to the bottom of the stairs. The party following behind steps cautiously onto the slick surface and avoids the same fate as Nimbus .   Caddell Griffith sends out familiar Celeste to scout ahead. The familiar discovers a group of banshees around the corner of the passage they were traveling through. They seemed unaware of their presence and all facing the front of the room which was opposite the direction of the entrance to that room. Celeste double backs to the group to investigate a northern branch of the tunnel structure that was closer to the party but had yet to be explored. Apparently Stella "The Frozen" Sheethnae had the exact same idea and decides to step into the northern hallway just as Celeste was flying into that same direction. Unfortunately for Stella "The Frozen" Sheethnae, the northern corridor was occupied by a gelatinous cube and immediately finds herself walking directly into the center of the cube.   The Bucket Brigade work to free their companion. The bard, Ebony Gray, casts enlarge on Stella "The Frozen" Sheethnae hoping the enlarged size would give her a better chance of pulling herself free from the grasp of the cube. The spell works as intended, but the brief melee with the cube attracts the attention of the banshees around the corner.   A wail from one of the banshees drops Stella "The Frozen" Sheethnae to the ground unconscious. FeatherFace applies healing magic with his recently acquired knowledge with cleric spells to revive the fallen elf ranger. Stella clamors back to her feet and the closest banshee glares intently on her face then points her finger at her and growls one word at her: "Sheethnae." The blood drains from Stella's face upon hearing this phrase and before she even realizes it, her feet carries her away in a full sprint away from the banshees and back to the entrance to the tomb.   Caddell Griffith attempts to slow the banshees attempt to give chase to the rest of the party before finally retreating for the doors in a full sprint. Several party members notice that the banshees stop short of entering the room with the tomb as if unable to pass through an invisible barrier of sorts. Regardless, they all decide to dimension door to the surface and head back to The Old Oar Inn to regroup and recover.
