General Summary

The Seventh One

That's So Raven

The group began dividing up the loot they'd found in the Necromancer's camp. Everyone agreed to give the raven statue to Omar, but SOMEHOW, Sarx ended up with it. After touching the statue, Sarx fell unconscious.
He awoke in a dark place, and the Raven Queen herself appeared before him. She told him "War is coming or going, you must decide. The Black Rider is crossing into this realm; you must stop him. Tiamat has returned to her world to complete her conquest. Bahamut opposes her and has sent his servants to your world for aid. Wave Echo Cave adjoins the two worlds."

Everything is Fine Here

Sarx awoke, and shared with everyone what he'd seen. Then, after doing the raven dance(?) the raven statue they'd given to Omar SOMEHOW worked again and he was able to summon a magical silver raven from it, which he named Gold.

Merry Men

Everyone then set off toward Thundertree. They opted to take a shortcut through Neverwinter Wood rather than go all the way around and delay their travel. In the forest, they were accosted by some bandits who had set up a trap so clever everyone saw through it immediately. Realizing these bandits were way out of their league, the group decided to spare them, negotiate for safe passage and gave them some money. They also said they'd seen Orcs traveling through the forest.

I Assure You, We're Open

Nearing Thundertree, the group came across a mysterious clearing. It was a perfect circle, and all of the grass was pressed flat toward the center of the circle, where stood a single door. Most everyone wanted to avoid the door, except Omar. He used illusion magic to make it seem like someone on the other side of the door needed help, which persuaded Kneel to assist. They approached the door, and as they got close, magical signage appeared above it with the name "Bostick's Boutique of Bewitchment." The door was locked, but after knocking on it, it was opened by the store manager, Tommy. The store had some very nice magic items for sale, and some of the group purchased things. Omar asked for a job application, and Tommy gave him a large scroll and a sentient toad.

Why Do Tonight What Can Be Done Tomorrow?

Everyone decided to rest for the night since it was already dark and they were low on resources. The next morning, they made it to Thundertree. They entered the town and immediately found Reidoth the druid. He warned the ruins were home to plant monsters and zombies, and he asked for help in shooing away some dragon cultists.

HAIL TIAMAT

The group agreed and began making their way through the town. They killed some zombies here and there, but were very careful to avoid any overgrown areas. Eventually they found a building with the dragon cultists inside. The cultists didn't appear very threatening, and said they were in the town to give a gift to the dragon that lived in the ruins in order to recruit it into the service of their lord Tiamat. The group convinced them they were also part of the dragon cult. The cult asked if anyone had seen the Black Rider. They also revealed the gift they had brought for the green dragon was - a silver dragon's egg. Seeing this, everyone decided to end the charade and attack. They slaughtered the cultists, and Omar rescued the dragon egg. However, after all the commotion from the battle died down, you heard a roar in the distance.

In the Darkness, There be Dragons

Outside, a green dragon approached. It hit several party members with its poisonous breath, and the rest took cover inside. They started shooting through the windows and around the corners of the building at it. They managed to bring it down to the ground so the rest of the group could attack, however, it used its breath weapon again. The party was able to distract it, causing it to just barely aim in the wrong direction. Several heroes dropped unconscious during the fight, but no one died, thanks to the healing efforts of Omar and Sarx. Kneel managed to land the killing shot. The necromancer is dead, the cultists are dead, the dragon is dead, and it now day two of the Orc King's three day ultimatum.
