Lexiejir (Word of Blood): Dragonbone Metal

The harvested essence of dragon bones is called Lexiejir (Word of Blood), and can be worked like a metal. When the bones are smelted, the organic material is burned away, leaving only a silver-white molten mass that cools and hardens to a light, flexible material that can be shaped easily.   Once the fabrication process is finished, a blessing is invoked for the spirit of the deceased dragon, and a desire to commit its soul to the realm of the draconic deities. This act of contrition and blessing need not be made by a Priest, Mage, or other powerful figure, but the request must be made from a sincere desire to honor the fallen dragon.   If accepted, the item's form is locked into place, and the material becomes strong and hard, without brittleness or losing ductility. Lexiejir has a warmth to it, and does not channel heat the way normal metals do. Rather, once Blessed, it becomes immune to massive heating and any subsequent attempts at reforging.   Note that Lexiejir is not properly a metal; alchemically, it is identified among the minerals, but ultimately defies classification.
