The Elven City of Sharandar

Sharandar was an ancient elven keep lost within the  south east reaches of Neverwinter Wood near the village of Conyberry.

Structure

There were rumors that Sharandar was hidden under living trees within the forest. The stronghold was said to be full of gems, magical items, armor, and weapons. The most notable interior feature of the keep was the extraordinarily crafted crystal buildings, furniture, and other things of splendor.

History

Long ago, the fortress was rumoured to be abandoned by the elves who marched forth to fight the growing orc hordes of Uruth Ukrypt. The fortress and any survivors are lost to myth and adventurers often search the forest seeking it's ruins.

Trivia

…Sharandar's towers were built high among the trees, blending harmoniously with the forest's natural growth and forming a crown upon the canopy's brow. The thickest boles supported rounded platforms upon which peak-roofed homes and arching halls were erected. Skilled glassworkers crafted amber-tinted windows that sealed out the weather and gleaming lanterns from which mystical lights danced. Great bridges, both crafted and grown, linked one structure or tree with the next. Intricate knots, carved in wood and tied in branches, adorned ceilings, framed doors, and served as bannisters to help keep occupants from toppling off platforms. So it was.
