Baldur's Gate Circus Troupe
The Baldur's Gate Circus Troupe is a circus troupe owned by Archibald Milner and based in the city of Baldur's Gate. While its main attraction is acrobatics (including both gymnastics and aerial acts), it also includes escape acts, strongmen, creature taming, dancing, jesters, jugglers, instruments, knife-throwing, sword-swallowing, gladiators, and plays. It portrays itself in a bawdy manner, attracting itself to the denizens of the Lower and Outer City. However, it does not advertise its connections to The Guild, as its owner is a Guild asset.
Many of the Troupe's members become simultaneous members of The Guild, and those that choose not to are made to keep quiet about the Troupe's connections. Some of its members have gone on to become famous in either the circus or after their tenure. One such example is Sariel Liadon, who was a popular attraction for a number of years, before becoming an adventurer and having her exploits detailed in the book Storm King's Thunder.
