Caerilcarn
The Caerilcarn (also known as the Council of the Wood) is an association of elven leaders in the High Forest that seeks to rebuild the ancient empire of Eaerlann. In practice, it often acts as a forum for elven leaders to discuss issues facing their homes, and to trade news. It is currently led by Lady Morgwais Nightmeadow of Reitheillaethor, who has led the council for well over a century. She has strongly pushed the council towards rebuilding Eaerlann, creating alliances with various wood elf towns in the High Forest, and moon elf nobles from across the North.
In 1369 DR, daemonfey emerged from Hellgate Keep and attacked the elves of the High Forest. Following this incident, the importance of the Caerilcarn was made evident to the communities of the region, as it was able to coordinate evacuations and mount defences. In addition, it was able to organise the creation of an army to retake the High Forest. Despite this, the dream of a restored Eaerlann has remained distant, well into the 15th century DR.
