Gilbert
Gilbert is a male lightfoot halfling and former member of the Guild in the city of Baldur's Gate. He grew up in the Lower City, quickly becoming involved in the Guild's operations, and joining as a footpad when he was 14. Despite his own perceived skill, he was repeatedly passed up for promotion to operator.
Under the leadership of Grigor Kulenov and his crew, Gilbert made a remarkable amount of gold. He served as Grigor's right-hand man, keeping the others in line and the kingpins off their backs when they fell short on monthly payments. Gilbert retired from the Guild shortly after Grigor did in 1491 DR, and moved to the city of Silverymoon. Instead of fully retiring, he became a security consultant for hire, using his skills to defend against thieves, instead of aiding them.
