Rosanna's Gift

This scimitar almost seems to hum as it glides through the air.

You gain a +1 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this magic weapon.

While holding this blade, taking the Attack action, expending a use of Bardic Inspiration, or using your Countercharm ability generates a Song. The sword can hold up to five Songs, and they disappear one minute after they are gained or as part of an effect. As a Reaction, you can spend a number of Songs on various effects:

  • Leap of Faith (3 Songs). You immediately move ten feet in any direction without provoking Attacks of Opportunity.
  • Inspired Defense (3 Songs). Until the start of your next turn, you have resistance to your choice of nonmagical bludgeoning, piercing, or slashing damage.
  • Fortification (4 Songs). You gain 10 temporary hit points until the start of your next turn.
  • Illusory Band (4 Songs). You gain the effects of the mirror image spell until the start of your next turn.
  • Dancing Winds (5 Songs). You gain the effects of the haste spell until the start of your next turn. When this effect expires, you do not suffer exhaustion.
  • Thunderous Song (5 Songs). Until the start of your next turn, all attacks with this weapon deal an additional 7 (2d6) thunder damage.

  • In addition, this sword can be used as a spellcasting focus by bards.
