Yeti
Yetis are large, white-furred monstrosities that can be found in arctic climates. Remarkably intelligent, they hunt across the frozen landscape, eating anything they can find and kill. Yetis typically live alone or in small family groups, and are very territorial. A yeti killed in a fight for territory might be eaten by the victor. The yeti's howl is feared in any wintry locale, as it often portends avalanches or blizzards. Yetis also have the unique ability to paralyse their prey with a cold glare from their eyes.
Some yeti are significantly larger and more powerful. These abominable yeti stand as high as three men, and weigh more than a hill giant. Very few creatures can stand against them, and even younger dragons know to keep their distance - unless the dragon can ally itself with the yeti.
