Sariel was hired by a wizard to retrieve a ring she claimed her partner stole from her before he fled to Calimport. In the blazing heat of the Empire of the Sands, Sariel discovered that Aldra's crew were also after the ring. Although Sariel barely missed getting the ring at first, she stole it back, and returned it to her employer.
