The Goldenfields

A religious settlement dedicated to the goddess Chauntea. It is a massive walled farm that supplies grain to the surrounding area.
The quality grain from The Goldenfields was used in one of the beers brewed by the family of Kaz Hearthstoker . In 1490 DR, the Muffin Men thwarted a siege on the city by Hill Giants loyal to a chieftain named Guh.

Demographics

Mostly humans, with some Halflings, Half-Orcs, and Half-Elves.

Government

Co-goverened by the highest-ranking Chauntean cleric and the Emerald Enclave. Ellardin Darovik is the current abbot in charge.

Defences

The Goldenfields is surrounded by a large wall some 30 ft thick and 60 ft high. While it has fallen into disrepair, it still presents a formidable defense against all but the most well equipped sieges. Stone towers and barracks are constructed on the wall about every mile or two from one another.

Industry & Trade

The Goldenfields is a massive farm that trades primarily in foodstuffs, especially grain and livestock.

Guilds and Factions

The Emerald Enclave maintains a significant presence in The Goldenfields.

Geography

The walls and farms are built on a rise within the Dessarin Valley that covered over 30 square miles. It is located at the northern end of the Northfurrow Trail.
