Arcane Guild

The Arcane guild has members all across Faerun, although it's halls are mainly found in larger cities. The guild comprises of mages, wizards, sorcerers and warlocks.
The intention of the guild is two fold. To regulate the use of magic, especially dangerous magic or magic users. But to also gather knowledge and study.
The guild offers training to young wizards and shares spell components, minor magical items, and arcane secrets with each other for far cheaper fees than with outsiders to the Guild. This ensures certain spell components are are difficult to find, thus regulating the ability to cast the most dangerous of spells.

Structure

There is no need for a formal hierachy within the guild as all members are aware of the cursed magics. In the event a member of the guild was to "go rogue" the other members would without hesitation seek out and destroy them.
