Slater Patalis

Slater Patalis was a knight of the ancient Ruathym Empire on Aleron at the turn of the 5th century. He served under Lord Ruthven and Lady Marcilla as a Knight-Command of the Great Wyrm Order of Ruathym Knights. The Knight Patalis took part in the trapping of the Druid to the tree outside Pembroke in 617 and was reported to have been the most injured of those who survived the battle. His friend's worried battles with the blood demons may have corrupted him. By 658 he was reported as mad and banished from the island by the Lord and Lady. His friend, the Knight Orlock accompanied him on the journey.
Elena believes this to be the same Patalis that slaughtered her family while she was young. While investigating what was thought to be a wild monster attack outside the northern farms of Saltmarsh, the scene reminded Elena of finding her family murdered. A letter addressed to Elena, signed only as P seemed to cement her fear that Petalis was still alive. Elena has stated Patalis is a vampire.
