Waterdeep

Principle Areas

  Castle Ward  : This district is the political heart of Waterdeep, home to the city's ruling council and the sprawling Castle Waterdeep.   Dock Ward: As its name suggests, the Dock Ward is home to the city's bustling port and shipping industry. It's also known for its lively taverns and seedy criminal underbelly.   North Ward: This affluent district is home to many of the city's wealthy and influential citizens, as well as some of its most impressive architecture.   South Ward: In contrast to the North Ward, the South Ward is a more working-class district known for its factories, breweries, and textile mills.   Trades Ward: The Trades Ward is the city's commercial hub, where many of its markets and shops are located.   Undermountain: Beneath the city lies a vast, labyrinthine dungeon complex known as Undermountain. It is said to be home to untold riches and unspeakable horrors.   Yawning Portal Inn: One of the most famous taverns in Waterdeep, the Yawning Portal is built atop a shaft that leads down into Undermountain.
