Cainan's Spire

In the far-flung future of an alternate Faerun exists the ninth wonder, the High Moor Gargantua. Towering over the lands of Faerun this mega structure can be seen anywhere from within the sword coast. It is sometimes referred to colloquially as "the world tree" given its massive stature and appearance. The outside facing is comprised of Feywood, immune to most damage the Feywood must be coaxed into allowing passage to its inner sanctum, where the real marvel is beheld. Inside the hollow spans a massive city that spirals into the heavens, some even believe that it does. Only the first few layers have been fully discovered the remaining twenty-seven have yet to have been revealed, or at least none have returned to tell the tale.

Purpose / Function

Originally this tower of power was a peaceful city-state under the protection of Cainan Giantbreaker, a dwarf paladin turn druid. But as the years lurched forward and his un-aging form striped away his humanity, his protection turned to oppression.

Alterations

Secomber under the protection and guidance of Cainan would grow from being a simple port town to colossal testament to what could be achieved when the races work together. Cainan did not wish the city to expand much further into the wilderness so insisted the city grow vertically. Eventually Cainan would close off the city from the rest of Faerun by surrounding it with Feywood that was directly link to the Feywild so he would not have to sustain it through his power alone.

Architecture

This tower is actually a massive city structure that has been engulfed by nature. It's appearance on the outside resembles a gargantuan tree that seems impervious to damage. Inside the hollow exists a vertical city that has blended science, technology, and magic into harmonious balance never seen since or before. Each layer of the tower exists almost in its own demiplane, offering a new experience the further up you progress.
