The Great Wild Wood

The Great Wild Wood is the largest expanse of forest on the entirety of Faerun. It is an ancient forest that is ruled by no nation and has no governing body. It is a wild and untamed land.   Throughout history there have been attempts to utilize the vast resources of the forest but thus far all attempts have been unsuccessful. Those who have tried claim they quickly became lost and confused upon entering the forest. After wandering for what felt like days they exited the forest in a daze with only hazy memories of what occurred within. Scholars claim this could be a defensive mechanism of the forest itself, or it could merely be a byproduct of the powerful natural magic within.   There is also legend that all sorts of magical and fantastical creatures live within the depths of the Great Wild Wood. There are tales from adventurers who claim they have traversed the forest and have encountered creatures native to the Feywild itself. This has led to people to believe that The Great Wild Wood contains a strong connection with the Feywild and Druidic abilities would be substantially more powerful within its depths. Nobody have ever confirmed this claim though, as of now it is merely a rumor.   There are also talks of a society of Sun Elves who live within The Great Wild Woods called the Narbeth. This has been unconfirmed due to the elusive nature of the forest.   There are many scholars who are interested in studying The Great Wild Wood but due to its location it makes traveling there perilous, for it has the slave lands to the west, the Hordelands to the north, and a vast desert to the south. For now it remains one of the greatest mysteries on the continent of Faerun.

The Feywild is an Inner plane that is an echo is the Prime Material plane, it is from here that the fey originated and is a place of unusually potent magic. Arcane magic runs more freely and is more powerful in the Feywild than it is in the Prime Material Place and it is for this reason that so many of its inhabitants are magically gifted. The Feywild is also reputably beautiful compared with either the Shadowfell or the Prime Material Plane.   The landscape of the Feywild is constantly changing and it is eternally twilight, the sun resting low in the sky, never setting nor rising. Strange music can often be heard in the wild lands of the Feywild and lanterns seem to float in the air which is alive with butterflies and other insects. It is a beautiful place of wonder, magic, grace, and peril.
Eladrin, Independent Archfey, hags, and even powerful mortals can shape the land to fit their desires. Such as a mortal soul may shape it to look like their home they had in life. Any creature that makes domain in the Feywild is significantly more powerful there.   While they Feywild is an echo of the Prime Material plane it doesn't echo its lands, it echoes its feelings.
