The Ride

The Ride is a large swath of untamed land in Northern Faerun. What makes The Ride stand out compared to areas like The Vast, is the large variety of dangerous beasts that roam this land. These beasts marked with the harsh weather and wild wilderness make it almost impossible to navigate safely through.
All sorts of beasts roam these land, everything from Grizzly Bears, to Dire Wolves, to even the rumored Cloud Giant wandering the highest peaks.
Outside of the dangerous beasts that call this land home, there are not any signs of civilization within this region. The only humanoids are the occasional traveler who attempt to traverse this landscape. Many glory hunters travel to this region to showcase their hunting and survival skills, though many hunters have died in this process.
It is now common to see hunters employ the help of mercenaries or hunting guilds as a way to ensure their safe passage through these lands, although even the most experienced of survivalists cannot guarantee the safety of any traveler.

There have been many rumors that there is a horrible monster than lives deep within the snow covered forests of The Ride. Though there have been no officially recorded instances of this monster.

Those that claim to have seen this creature say that is is massive in size, standing tall amongst the trees. They also claim that it wails, releasing distressing cries that echo through the forest.
