Crossbow Bolts

Crossbow bolts are used with crossbows to make a ranged attack. Each time you attack with a crossbow, you expend one crossbow bolt. Drawing the crossbow bolt from a crossbow bolt case is part of the attack. At the end of the battle, you can recover half your expended crossbow bolts by taking a minute to search the battlefield.
