Dagger
Proficiency with a dagger allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it. Daggers deal 1d4 piercing damage on a hit.
Finesse. When making an attack with a dagger, you use your choice of your Strength or Dexterity modifier for the attack and damage rolls. You must use the same modifier for both rolls.
Light. A dagger is small and easy to handle, making it ideal for use when fighting with two weapons.
Thrown. You can throw a dagger to make a ranged attack. You use either your Strength or your Dexterity modifier for the attack roll and damage roll.
Range. A dagger's normal range is 20 feet, and its long range is 60 feet. When attacking a target beyond normal range, you have disadvantage on the attack roll. You can't attack a target beyond the dagger's long range.
