Longbow
Proficiency with a light longbow allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it. Longbows deal 1d8 piercing damage on a hit.
Ammunition. You can use a longbow to make a ranged attack only if you have arrows. Each time you attack with the longbow, you expend one arrow. Drawing the arrow from a quiver is part of the attack. At the end of the battle, you can recover half your expended arrows by taking a minute to search the battlefield. If you use a longbow to make a melee attack, you treat the longbow as an improvised weapon.
Heavy. Creatures that are Small or Tiny have disadvantage on attack rolls with longbows. A longbow's size and bulk make it too large for a Small or Tiny creature to use effectively.
Range. A longbow's normal range is 150 feet, and it's long range 600 feet. When attacking a target beyond normal range, you have disadvantage on the attack roll. You can't attack a target beyond the longbow's long range.
Two-Handed. This weapon requires two hands when you attack with it.
