Shortsword

Proficiency with a shortsword allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it. Shortswords deal 1d6 piercing damage on a hit.
Finesse. When making an attack with a shortsword, you use your choice of your Strength or Dexterity modifier for the attack and damage rolls. You must use the same modifier for both rolls.
Light. A shortsword is small and easy to handle, making it ideal for use when fighting with two weapons.
