Asgorath (/ˈɑːzgɔːrɑːθ/ AZ-gore-ath)

The World Shaper Asgorath

Asgorath was the dragon deity of creation. She was regarded as the creator of the multiverse and of dragonkind, and she manipulated the destinies of all dragons by operating in a way that nobody suspected her involvement. Asgorath was supposed to encompass all alignments, but was often regarded as neutral. Her holy symbol, an unadorned circle, represented totality.
Some sages believed that Asgorath was an aspect of the World Serpent concept, while others thought Asgorath was actually a primordial that had ascended to godhood after the Tearfall.
In the Outer Planes, she was more commonly known as Io. It was possible that Io was similar to Ao, a kind of all-powerful yet detached overgod.

Asgorath was able to slip from Abeir to Toril during the Second Sundering without Ao’s knowledge. As the only primordial in this plane of existence, his goal is to overthrow the gods and Ao who he deems to have usurped what rightfully belonged to the primordials during the Age of Thunder.
